| Model Guidelines
|
- Model Guidelines can be found on pages A-11 and B-57-58 in the Handbook
- Model Parameters
- All models must be built to scale (there is no set scale; you decide what scale you want to use) and you have to create a key to describe the scale you are using.
- *NEW* The final scale model must not exceed: 25” wide x 50” long x 20” high (formerly 30"x60"x24")
- *ALL models will be measured (points will be deducted if models exceed set parameters by any amount!)
- Models must have one moving part and the power source must be self-contained
- * Scoring sheet rubric can be found on page A-73 of the Handbook
- *NEW* Model Rubric A-75 through A-77
- Models should be made primarily out of recycled materials and expenses cannot exceed $100
- Competition Expense Form, A-53
- Estimate the cost of your recycled materials as if you:
- Bought them from a garage sale; or
- If taken to a recycling facility, how much compensation you could receive for plastic and/or aluminum items
- Be sure to include cost of presentation materials, props, special clothing, visual aids, posters, etc. in your expense report
- Please note: Expense forms are due at the time of registration on the day of the competition.
