Career History:

Don is the Chair of the Department of Engineering and an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Indiana.

He has been a FIRST LEGO League referee since the tournament began in 2000 and has been co-head referee for six years. He also has volunteered as a judge for the Northeast Indiana Regional Science & Engineering Fair for years, serving as Lead Judge in Engineering for four years.

He serves on the Thermophysics Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, is the faculty advisor for the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers at IPFW, and is active in the American Society of Engineering Education.

Don also plays soccer and is a member of the Fort Wayne Sport Club.
