*** Motor Field (synchronous) Speed: N = 120*f/Poles , unit RPM; f = 60 Hz, Poles = number of poles of the motor (2, 4, 6, 8 poles); Motor shaft speed = N* (1-slip), where slip is usually 2 to 3% for 3-phase motors
*** Slip = s = (N - N-shaft)/N; Example s = (1800-1750)/1750 = 0.0278 or 2.78%
*** HP = Torque*N/5250; Torque (ft-lbs) = (HP* 5250)/N
*** Single-phase power: P = V*I*PF = V*I*Cos(theta) watts; PF = Cos(theta) = power factor
*** Three-phase power: P3 = 1.732*VL*IL*PF watts; VL = Line voltage (between V1-V2, V2-V3, V1-V3), IL = Line Current
